How To Travel from Da Nang to Hoi An in 2024
/Da Nang a tropical city and the ultimate beach city destination — but just 30km distance from Da Nang lies Hoi An.
Completely chilled, laidback with history at every corner among these lantern and sepia-toned buildings.
I’ll cover what’s the best way to travel from Da Nang to Hoi An.
It seems like such a short distance but there’s actually many ways to get there especially if you’re in a group, solo travelling or just looking for an easy way to get across.
Firstly, there are no buses are running this route after the pandemic, and the best way I could suggest is to book a taxi or pre-book it via private transfer.

How to Travel from Da Nang to Hoi An
#1 Private Transfer
The best way in my opinion is to sort your transfer through Hoi An Express — they arrange for transfers from Da Nang airport directly or even from your hotel.
There are various options for you if you have a large group or are travelling solo from 7 seater minivans to even 16 seater minibuses or a 4 seater car.
You could also opt to check private transfer vehicles if you want more options for a lesser price here at 12go.Asia. There are various tour companies with good reviews and 5 star services offering other alternatives.
#2 Take a Grab Taxi
The distance is not much and you can easily secure a grab taxi for 243,000 - 365,000 Vietnamese Dong ($10-$15) should you decide for the pure matter of convenience.
I found Grab taxis to be quite convenient and on time but sometimes during peak season it can be quite pricy depending on how big of a group you have with you.
#3 Roundtrip Shuttle Bus
Short on time but also want to venture into Hoi An? You can travel from Nang to Hoi An on a comfortable shuttle bus with a hotel pickup.
This is a quick way to explore the ancient town of Hoi An with a tour guide, before returning to Da Nang.
